Glorieta Christian Writers ConferenceA man's steps are directed by the LORD. Proverbs 20:24a
Personal stories unfold as we journey through time and space. God is faithful as he orchestrates each step gently directing our journey, drawing us close to himself. Each turn in the road brings with it the possibility of a Divine appointment (an encounter orchestrated by God with life changing potential). These experiences provide excellent opportunities to grow and develop.
Two years ago, my own personal journey of faith led me to Glorieta Christian Writers Conference. There nestled high in the scenic mountains outside of Santa Fe I found encouragement and new direction. It was the perfect place for Divine encounters.I met wonderful men and women at GCWC who encouraged and inspired my journey. I was impressed with their attentiveness to detail, the personal instruction and their willingness to "go the second mile."

Florence Littauer and I at Glorieta
The instruction on writing techniques, promotion, marketing and the open exchange of ideas was extremely helpful but the opportunity to forge relationships was life changing. I am deeply indebted to the leaders of Glorieta especially Marita and Florence Littauer.

At Glorieta Christian Writers Conference, I participated in "Get Published-Now" a wonderful class led by Linda Gilden. It is a hands on workshop where twenty-four participants have the undivided attention of thirteen professional writers and two publishing professionals. Because class size is limited prospective students are required to submit their articles for consideration. The class works with their professional mentors for five days at Glorieta and at the end of the class the stories are published in an anthology. In 2005 the class produced a book titled "Give Thanks," and in 2006 their book was "When God Stepped In."
